1. MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
This is a 5.5-year long course that includes both theoretical and practical learning. The curriculum covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, and more. 2. BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
BDS is also one of the highly opted courses after 12th biology. It is a 5 year long course that trains individuals in oral health care, that is, the practice of maintaining good hygiene and health of the mouth, teeth, and gums. The curriculum covers subjects such as anatomy, physiology, dental materials, oral pathology, and more. After completing BDS, individuals can appear for the Dental Council of India (DCI) examination to get registered as a dental practitioner (or in simple terms, a dentist).

- Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects. Candidates who belong to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe must score at least 40% marks in the class 12th examination.
- The candidates must also qualify for the entrance test if students choose BDS as one of the courses after 12th biology. One of the most popular entrance exams is NEET. There are other institute/university level, state level and national level exams that are conducted.
